Printpack, Atlanta, GA, is providing an eco-friendly promotional multi-pack shrink sleeve for Bumble Bee Foods' gourmet salmon; the four-pack of cans is targeted at the club store sector. The sleeve is printed seven-color gravure on compostable Earthfirst PLA, an alternative to petroleum-based shrink films. The PLA reportedly is shelf stable at higher storage temperatures with excellent printability, while the packaging gives Bumble Bee Foods a more upscale look for its Prime Fillet Atlantic Salmon brand.
